Lights, sound, and the theory that ties them.

Lighting Design

Programmed to the song, run live.

Plots, cue stacks, and the rig, built for the room you are actually in. One wash for an acoustic set up to a full moving-light show, designed and operated from the same desk that mixes the audio.

Live Sound

Every player, intelligible.

Front of house and monitors. PA, RF, and a mix that holds from the front row to the back wall of a packed house, with a stage the band can actually hear themselves on.

The thinking behind both. Start from the moment the crowd should feel, then work backward through the acoustics, the optics, and the staging until that moment is the only thing that can happen.

Nick Troiano

Twelve years behind instruments, five behind the board, three behind the lighting desk. DVAV started because Porsche Lane needed a lighting plot that could keep up with seven players, and Pi Kappa Phi needed a chapter rig that didn't sound like a rented bluetooth speaker. The shows we run for outside clients use the same engineering — designed, programmed, and led from the same desk.

    Inquire

    Send the date, venue, and what you're trying to make happen. Quote back within 48 hours.

  2. Two weeks out ii.

    Design

    Site visit or virtual walkthrough. Plot, signal flow, and run-of-show locked.

  3. Show day iii.

    Show

    Load-in, soundcheck, run, strike. You focus on the performance.

05 Crowd Theory in Action

Reverse-engineering the moment.

At a 300-cap club show, the artist wanted the back-of-room audience to feel the same energy as the front row.

We reverse-engineered that into delay-stacked fills on the rear columns, a secondary hazer position at mid-room, and a lighting palette that pulled warm washes toward the back wall during peaks.

Result: the room held full capacity through the encore for the first time that season.

The things everyone asks.

What does production cost?

Every show is different, but most single-night club or venue shows with full lighting and audio fall in the $500–$2,000 range depending on event type, room size, gear requirements, and travel. Festival stages and multi-day runs are quoted individually. You'll get an itemized quote within 48 hours of your inquiry.

Are you insured?

Yes — general liability coverage in place. Certificate of insurance available on request for any venue or promoter that requires one.

How far will you travel?

Based in Clemson, routine within about four hours across the Upstate and the wider Southeast. Further is case-by-case, with travel, lodging, and freight built transparently into the quote.

What's the minimum booking?

None. Single-night club shows through multi-day festival runs. If the room and the timeline make sense, the show makes sense.

Do you provide backline?

Backline is rented through partner suppliers and built into the quote line-item, or coordinated with whatever the artist is bringing. Audio and lighting come from our own inventory.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as you can. Ideally about four to eight weeks for intensely involved production. Equipment rentals and smaller jobs often work on shorter notice — reach out and we'll help make it happen.
